Double Exposure
Double Exposure is majorly used in photography, films, etc, is a combination of two exposures in one image to produce evocative results . For this I require 2 images - 1 as foreground and another as background.

Layer Masking helps to create a mask (which can be as transparent or opaque) over the base layer ,result will be a new outcome effect. This application is used in merging effects, creating new graphics, blending looks, etc.
